Do you have to have a college degree to be an advice columnist for a magazine or newspaper?

this is something i have always been interested in and was wondering if anyone has any information on the topic?Do you have to have a college degree to be an advice columnist for a magazine or newspaper?
No but it would help. If you have some samples of your writing that you could present, that could get you in the door. Based on that, an interview with a professional could let you know if you are fit for this kind of journalism.Do you have to have a college degree to be an advice columnist for a magazine or newspaper?
You hardly ever need a college education for any job in journalism. But you will probably be competing with people who do have degrees.

The most important factor in getting a job in journalism is experience. I recommend writing as much as possible so that you develop good clips that will convince editors to hire you.
No, but it really helps
