What advice would you give for trying out to be a defensive linemen.?

Ive never played football before but would like to play for my high school team. Ive taken several online quizes about my possible position and this is the one it suggested plus it seems fun. Also what would i most likely need to do to get the spot. BTW i have a little under a year to train.What advice would you give for trying out to be a defensive linemen.?
practise! the only way to go. if it frrls right then it must be right. if it doesnt try another position.
