If your doing a speech, or a presentation, then try making a powerpoint presentation. The school might now allow graphic pictures, or videos, so ask in advance. It is reality, but they may have a problem with you showing. Include information about factory farms. About how the dairy farms run, continuously breeding cows and stealing their calves right after they are born. Shipping the calves to veal farms, or killing them for their rummen.
Include information on factory farming. How the industry feels the inhumane treatment is justified, as it produces larger profits.
Give them information on how intelligent farm animals are, and how they are deprived of any mental stimulation when confined to tiny cages. They often go insane.
Make sure to tell them about the health benefits of being vegetarian. And how you can get the same vitamins from plant sources as you can from meat.
Give them website information on how to go vegetarian. And some forums where they can talk to other students online. Dont give any websites who are known for crazy stunts (PETA) as you will lose all credibility.

Teach them that meat isn't the only place to get protein. Show them a copy of the vegetarian food pyramid. I'd stay away from the animal rights arguments since they tend to bring out negitive feelings towards vegetarians.
be open-minded about it. try it. dont make fun of other people for being vegetarian. try your best to understand it. watch a factory farming video (jk)
