I'm trying to write a trilogy of books in the fantasy/sci-fi genres and I would just like to hear any advice or anything you would like to share about writing. Are there any other beginning writers out there, if so do you have any advice?
I write the news you hear on the radio, but I'm also in the process of writing my autobiography. The main thing, based on the genre you mentioned with your question, is to make the story enjoyable to the reader. If it will let them escape reality for awhile, then it's a good story. Best of luck to you!Are there any other beginning writers out there, if so do you have any advice?
i write scripts for movies and all you need is your feelings, experience and a kick tukas idea ! thats all i got and my teacher thinks i am the most pehenominal writer out of everyone in our class !
Link below is to resources for science fiction writers. If you can find and join a local chapter of that group, you will learn about the people who edit, publish and support this genre.
I'm working on my first fiction book as well. My only advice would be to take each book individually. Once you write it, you will need to spend your time selling it before you start on the second book.
read the book on writing by stephen king, EXTREMELY helpful! i actually got that advice from another author. also take a writing workshop, also very helpful. let someone (professional) read your work, be prepared for any criticizing, but it'll help you in the long run. i promise. it's nice to see it from a different point of view.
