i am in a junior college and have decided i want to become a childrens medical social worker and i have taken some classes that will transfer to a 4year. when your done with your lower division do you have to be in school for 4 years at a four year school or just 2? has anyone gone to a 4 yr in california? how long did it take? and do you like your career now?I just need a little advice. what are some of the steps you have taken to become a medical social worker? ?
Well in regard to any transfer all your lower division is considered your general for any school, so to answer your question no you don't have to go for 4 years to a 4 yr university after you transfer. You need to do your upper division however there is no time set, it can be less than 2 years or more than two years it really depends on you and how many Class you take and whether you pass or not. I'm transferring this fall to a 4 yr maybe cal state la or ucla and I will major in social work also. However your last question I cannot answer since I am still in still, though I know someone who does it and I know it can be emotionally stressful and there will be many holiday, nights, and long hours that will be worked.
