Hi,
We're considering a wedding venue that does not have a kitchen, so the caterer would either have to bring equipment or a catering truck, or cook nearby and keep the food warm I guess. I'd love to get an opinion on this from anyone who's ever catered an event without a kitchen. Is it do-able? And does it make it super expensive?
Thank you!!Do you have any advice for a wedding reception at a venue that has not kitchen?
It's totally normal for caterers to prep at their own facilities and just set the food up in chafing dishes at the venue. Just make sure you get proposals from a few caterers that include all equipment rental costs.Do you have any advice for a wedding reception at a venue that has not kitchen?
Have caterers use Sterno cans or plug in equipment and use generators.
You could also have an outdoor BBQ with chefs cooking on LARGE grills or outdoor fire pits depending where you will be having the reception.
cajun propane cookers, electric roaster ovens, propane stoves, garden hoses and large tubs for washing up.
the society for creative anachronism cooks large feasts for people at outdoor events all the time.
