How would you interpret this advice?

';Just walk in the light God gives you. Enjoy the freedom you have in Christ';.How would you interpret this advice?
Well this is obviously in two parts.

Part 1: Just walk in the light God gives you.

I would interpret this as meaning be happy with what you have and stop worrying about what you don't have. Or make due with what you've got.

Part 2: This one is a little more in depth... Enjoy the freedom you have in Christ.

In my humble opinion what this is stating is that where most people see the rules of religion as limiting, others actually see them as providing freedom.

Here is what I mean.

Thou shall not steal.

You can't steal %26lt;== the negative point of view

I don't ever have to worry about going to jail or feeling guilty about my actions %26lt;== the positive point of view

Thou shall not commit adultery

You can't have sex with someone elses spouce %26lt;== negative point of view

If you accept this rule you never have to worry about getting caught up in a painful love triangle or any other kind of relationship problem based on this action.

So in other words as much as the rules prevent you from doing things, the things that they prevent you from doing can come at a high price and cause you many problems in the long run, so by accepting the rules and following them you gain the freedome of never having to worry about having the kinds of issues that can often occur related to those activities.

If you never drink alcohol you will never have to worry about having a hangover or doing something that you don't remember because you were drunk...

So again the first have pretty straight forward be happy with what you have. The second half a little less straight forward but basically, follow the rules and you will never have to worry about the problems caused by not following them.

Just my humble opinion.

Enjoy
