I have found six kittens in my shed/garage, Do you have any general advice of what I should do?

The mother is around but rarely. I am afraid to feed the kittens and they don't get alot of food from mom. They seem perfectly healthy and they are scared of people. This may not seem like a problem but they are in the shed for all of they day and there is alot of junk in there and they might knock something over and get squashed! Help Please.I have found six kittens in my shed/garage, Do you have any general advice of what I should do?
You could call your local Animal Society or Shelter to come get them or you could take them in or just leave them.

Do you have any idea how old they might be? If they are, say, 6 or more weeks old, the mom won't be around as much. They can kind of take care of them selves. If they are that old, they'll be eating real food which mom needs to hunt for.

If you feel they are in danger of being snagged by a racoon or skunk, and they could be, then either take them in or call the shelter.

Just because mom isn't around much doesn't mean she's not looking after them.I have found six kittens in my shed/garage, Do you have any general advice of what I should do?
They need to be fed. Usually if you feed a cat, even a Ferrell one, they start to trust you.You will need to advertise them in a paper to find them homes but will have to teach them to come to you before you will be able to get them and give them away.
I too have many kittens. Are they big enough too take food theirself. Then give some milk.If not call a vetenary doctor.
Go to a vet or an animal shelter and ask for help.
Unfortunately, kittens that are born wild and are afraid of people rarely acclimate to being pets. They will almost certainly not get hurt in your shed, but that's alot of cats to feed and you'd have to take responsibility for neutering them all. So.......really you're left with calling Animal Control and telling them that you have a litter of feral kittens. They'll do the rest. It's a shame, but what else is there that's realistic?
Please ignore the ''free kittens'' post. This is a bad idea, especially since the kittens are afraid of people.

Do you have a local humane society or SPCA? If so, give them a ring and let them know about the situation. They may be able to trap the kittens and care for them long enough for them to adapt to people and the indoors.

If this isn't an option, don't feed them unless you are prepared to continue feeding them. That may sound cruel. But, if they are going to remain in the wild, it would be best for them to fend for themselves so that they don't get use to food being provided for them.

You could try to catch them yourself (if you know what you're doing) and attempt to help them adapt to people and the indoors. But this can prove to be a time consuming, tiresome, and difficult task.

If you decide to feed them and allow them to remain in your shed, clear out all dangerous objects and straighten it up enough so that nothing falls on them. Provide them with plenty of fresh water and food on a regular basis, and give them something warm and cozy to sleep on (old blankets, sheets, or hay). But remember, like I said, don't feed them if you're not prepared to continue doing so.

Another option is to contact a feral cat rescue group. They may be able to trap, spay/neuter (when they're old enough), and relocate them.
A local animal shelter will be more than happy to take them in along with the momma cat. Otherwise I'd leave them alone. If you stir things up too much Momma may move them to a place that's not as safe.
call the SPCA or go to a close animal shelter for help! good luck! but if there aggressive they mite be put to sleep!
post in paper FREE KITTENS!!!it works.
